Privacy Policy
This page explains what the current site services handle and how to contact us about your information.
Newsletter subscriptions
The newsletter form asks for your email address. Kit renders the form and, when it accepts a subscription, processes the subscriber record, email confirmation, delivery and unsubscribe controls. WordPress does not keep a separate subscriber list or send marketing email. A form submission is only an attempt until Kit accepts it and any required email confirmation is completed. Kit describes its processing in its Data Processing Addendum.
Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email to stop future messages. Confirmation, welcome and unsubscribe behavior also depends on Kit’s current service and account settings.
Analytics and publication measurement
Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are read, how visitors find the site and basic browser and device context. The site also measures newsletter-link clicks, form views, the first interaction with a form, form-submit attempts and clicks on any future sponsored links. How Gardens Work’s first-party script adds the page placement to these custom events and, for a sponsored link, adds the destination hostname. The script does not read or add the email address, form contents, full sponsored destination or its query string, a user ID or free text to those custom parameters. A submit-attempt event does not mean a subscription was confirmed.
Google Analytics may attach its own default context to each event, including page location and title, referrer, browser or device details, session information and a client identifier. A page location can include a query string unless the provider’s settings redact it. If Google Analytics form-interaction measurement is enabled, it may also collect separate form-start or form-submit events and form metadata. The complete analytics event is therefore not limited to the custom parameters added by How Gardens Work.
The optional Grow reader-engagement control is not loaded. The first-party custom-event script does not add cookies or browser storage. See the current privacy information from Google. The page code disables Google advertising personalization and cross-product signals; provider behavior still depends on the providers’ current services and settings.
Hosting records
How Gardens Work uses Namecheap shared hosting. The host processes site requests and may keep standard server logs for security, reliability and troubleshooting. See Namecheap’s privacy policy.
